Passion and Participation

Passion and Protest is a program that engages learners in an exploration of the concept of finding a voice through democracy.

Passion and Protest is a program that engages  learners in an exploration of the concept of finding a voice through democracy. Through self-discovery activities within the space students will become aware of key individuals, events and artifacts that helped shape the concept of democracy that is evident today.

The learning experiences are aligned with the Australian Curriculum, with particular emphasis on the learning area of Humanities and Social Science: Civics and Citizenship, and the general capabilities of literacy, critical and creative thinking and visual arts. Teaching for Effective Learning principles strongly underpin the learning design.

Tools and materials will be provided by the State Library and the Centre of Democracy free of charge.
