This badge was designed and distributed in about 1980. Lesbianism was never illegal in South Australia; however male homosexuality was until 1975.
The Gay Liberation Movement included not only male homosexuals but also lesbians. This badge represents the solidarity in the gay and lesbian community across the country, and the world.
